While some of the other forms of abuse are obvious, mental abuse by a narcissist can be difficult to spot. Rage – This is an intense, furious anger that comes out of nowhere, usually over nothing (remember the wire hanger scene from the movie “Mommie Dearest”). It startles and shocks the victim into compliance or silence.
Gaslighting – Narcissistic mental abusers lie about the past, making their victim doubt her memory, perception, and sanity. They claim and give evidence of her past wrong behavior further causing doubt. She might even begin to question what she said a minute ago.
The Stare – This is an intense stare with no feeling behind it. It is designed to scare a victim into submission, and is frequently mixed with the silent treatment.
Silent Treatment – Narcissists punish by ignoring. Then they lets their victim “off the hook” by demanding an apology even though she isn’t to blame. This is to modify her behavior. They also have a history of cutting others out of their life permanently over small things.
Projection – They dump their issues onto their victim as if she were the one doing it. For instance, narcissistic mental abusers may accuse their spouse of lying when they have lied. Or they make her feel guilty when he is really guilty. This creates confusion.
Twisting – When narcissistic spouses are confronted, they will twist it around to blame their victims for their actions. They will not accept responsibility for their behavior and insist that their victim apologize to them.
Manipulation – A favorite manipulation tactic is for the narcissist to make their spouse fear the worst, such as abandonment, infidelity, or rejection. Then they refute it and ask her for something she normally would reply with “No.” This is a control tactic to get her to agree to do something she wouldn’t.
Victim Card – When all else fails, the narcissist resorts to playing the victim card. This is designed to gain sympathy and further control behavior.
You can teach your clients to memorize these maneuvers, remain silent when they are being used, and end the conversation as soon as possible. This will keep them from being a victim of mental abuse.

A Lovefraud reader recently asked the following question:
If the sociopath is not in it for money (he pays for everything with no access to my accounts) then what are other reasons to stay in a relationship if he doesn’t live with me nor do we share anything financially? Many of the posts I have read involve financial fraud.
If a sociopath has targeted you, it’s because you have something that he or she wants. Often it’s money, but not always. Here are 10 more things that the sociopath may want:
1. Sex
Sociopaths crave stimulation, and sex is highly stimulating, so they pursue it. However, sociopaths are not slaves to their physical urges. They often use sex primarily as a tool of manipulation to get something else that they want.
2. Services
Sociopaths may want you to do something for them that they don’t want to do for themselves, such as cooking, cleaning and taking care of children.
3. Housing
Even if sociopaths don’t directly ask for money, they may suggest living together. They may say it’s because they love you, when, in fact, they have no place to go.
4. Entertainment
Perhaps you’re part of an exciting social scene. The sociopath may want to be with you just to gain access to the people you know.
5. Status
Hanging out with you may be good for their image, especially if you’re rich, famous, successful or competent. Your status boosts their status.
6. Image
Perhaps the sociopath needs a partner like you to complete the image that he or she wants to present to the company or community.
7. Cover
Your presence may help them get away with a hidden agenda. You may be providing cover for the sociopath to pursue a double life of sex, drugs or crime.
8. Connections
Sociopaths may use you, your skills and your connections in order to pursue their grandiose dreams or entrepreneurial plans.
9. Duping delight
Sociopaths enjoy getting over on people—this is called “duping delight.” They often manipulate, deceive and use people just for the fun of it. Some will seduce targets just so they can break their hearts.
10. Domination
Sociopaths feed on power and control, so they sometimes pursue domination for its own sake. They want to prove themselves more powerful than you, perhaps even powerful enough to destroy you.
If a sociopath targets you, it’s because he or she sees you as useful in some way. Once you are no longer useful, you’ll be dumped.

Wickedness
Now that we understand the definition of righteousness, lets examine the opposite of righteousness, which is ‘wickedness’.
The one who is wicked will always take from others. In some cases this obvious. For example, a man who commits murder has taken another man’s life. A thief takes another man’s property.
There are other forms of wickedness that are not so obvious, but are still extremely wicked. Consider the one who sees the preparations for the Passover seder, yet remains seated and does not help out. This one has taken the labors and time of others. He has literally stolen a part of their lives. In this way we can understand that a lazy person is killing people in a very subtle manner.
If you examine every sin in the scriptures, you will find that at their root they are all ‘taking’ from either HaShem or from others. It is no exageration to say that those who do not give are wicked. To put it another way: The definition of wickedness is the taking of time, material, and labors of others.
Failure to give is the very definition of evil!

The Angels of Uncovering
On November 17, 2016, I had an open vision of the following.
I live in Southern California and was given this.
I saw Angels in Los Angeles and asked God to bring them closer so I could see what they looked like and what I needed to know. When He brought them closer I saw that they were evenly spaced and standing on defeated foe. They were being supported by the presence of God.(It looked like a pool under there feet ) These Angels were they very bright and shiny variety. They were linked and were surrounding the entire Southern California area. East, North, South and West.
These Angels were making a clean sweep of these boundaries(within and without) to make sure they are clean.
Next I saw a net being thrown out over this entire region of Southern California.( to secure it and for protection)
In the middle of this activity, I saw the ancient demons of various things walking around as if in a daze, coming out of a stupor. I recognize them and have the understanding that they are being awakened by all the activity because soon the Great War will start. These demons were not only walking the land they are fighting in the air with the Angels assigned to this region.
These demons were vomiting a flood of slime to further their deception. Some of them had names such as Divorce, Depression and so forth.
On the land, there is a torch of fire being lit to burn up the enemy. The enemy will not see it coming.
I saw seed demons trying to advance and the larger Angels being brought in to diffuse them.
I saw the larger angels trumpeting(there were five all together at one point). I also saw the myriads of angels being used as a barrier and ready for war instructions. I then saw a very large angel trumpeting to open up the heavens because it is time.
After watching this for awhile, I saw five more angels trumpeting releasing Truth and Grace.
This is a season of no striving. Worship is the key. Keeping focused on God.
Worship fires need to be maintained to accomplish what needs to be done for the love of many.
His presence always brings the breakthrough coupled with obedience.
This also brings peace. Perfect peace (shalom)is the complete wholeness. Healing of the whole person.
Truth will uncover the darkness and grace will make the way to remove the darkness from the heart of those who need God's light to heal them.
The old ways will no longer work.

This morning the Lord was highlighting the PIONEERS to me again. I saw many pioneers being hit hard in the past few weeks especially and many were left almost dazed and confused and wondering what was going on.
I felt the Lord then speak to me that the enemy has been coming hard against the PIONEERS because of the birthing position that the PIONEERS are in right now and have been this year. New ministries, new ventures. new doors, new pathways branching out from existing ministries, adventures for the Lord, new land being explored and taken, new grounds being forged, leading others into the NEW.
As I saw this onslaught attack coming against the PIONEERS especially in the last 2-3 weeks, the Lord showed me a word that I believe encapsulates the intention of this onslaught. The word that I saw was "PILLAGE".
DEFINITION OF PILLAGE: The act of plundering, take something by force, to rob/steal using violence. (Dictionary.com)
The sense surrounded me of the intention of the enemy is not only to PLUNDER (steal and rob) the birthing of what God is doing through the PIONEERS but to bring DEVASTATION to what God is birthing.
As I saw this intense swirling opposition and for many PIONEERS they have been hit so hard out of nowhere and harder than ever, I heard the Lord say "STAND YOUR GROUND, IT IS SMOKE AND MIRRORS, THINGS ARE ABOUT TO CLEAR!!! TAKE HEART, A GREATER LEVEL OF PROMOTION AND PILGRIMAGE IS BEFORE YOU!!! AS YOU STAND IN ME AND CONTINUE TO PUT YOUR HANDS TO WHAT I HAVE ASKED YOU TO, AGREEING WITH ME, YOU WILL SEE THE ANGELIC ARMY AND PROTECTION OF MY HAND OVER WHAT I AM BIRTHING THROUGH YOU!"
There was such an urgency in my spirit that the Lord was encouraging His people to continue to AGREE with what HE is saying over them and what He is birthing and NOT AGREE with the enemy. I sensed the enemy was looking for AGREEMENT. Once the AGREEMENT came to all his lies and his foreboding, then he would have legal ground to start to cause havoc. I felt the Lord's heart for the PIONEERS to keep standing, keep putting your hands to what the Lord has asked you to, don't move to the left or the right even though the opposition is hard, you've met walls before you and you feel stuck. Do all you can by the leading of His Spirit to keep moving forward and you will see this very onslaught of attack that has come against you is but smoke and mirrors and will begin to fade away. You will see the ANGELIC REINFORCEMENTS the Lord has sent to you to protect you and what He is birthing through you and you will SEE the MIGHTY HAND OF THE LORD bring BREAKTHROUGH!
I saw a divine highlight on the words PROMOTION and PILGRIMAGE!!!! The Lord spoke to me that the enemy is simply attempting to hit the very area that the Lord is about to bring great FAVOUR, INCREASE and PROMOTION to. THIS is your next area of greatest breakthrough, favour and promotion.

The Lord is taking the PIONEERS on a NEW JOURNEY!!! I felt the Lord saying it is going to be LONG.. but the LONG was a POSITIVE! As the PIONEERS keep standing their ground, moving forward and obeying the leading of the Spirit in what He is birthing in and through them, that the 'baby' being birthed is here to LAST. There is a DECREE of heaven over you that you are here for the LONG JOURNEY!! You will NOT be take out and you will SEE the FRUIT of what He is birthing in and through you LAST as you continue to steward with purity and integrity.
You are moving into a new land. He is taking you on a SACRED JOURNEY with Him, into a deeper place. A place where you know a closeness to His heart that you have never known before. You will will be in greater reverence and awe of who He is and know abundance, provision, increase, favour and His Kingdom government being established through you like never before.
The enemy is screaming "PILLAGE!!! I AM TAKING YOU OUT"! Keep your eyes on Jesus, for He is DECLARING over you "YOU ARE NOW ENTERING THE GREATEST LAND OF BREAKTHROUGH OF YOUR PIONEERING LIFE!!! Every hardship, every season of contending, everything has been preparation for such a time as this. THIS season! PIONEERS you will NOT be marked as always being 'heavy laden' or continually 'battling'. He is breaking that off you and He is MARKING YOU WITH JOY!!!! The PILGRIMAGE BEFORE YOU into a NEW LAND of breakthrough, increase and ENCOUNTER with Jesus will not feel like you are swimming upstream anymore, but a breakthrough in rest to be carried into the fruits of what you have been partnering with the Lord to birth for SO LONG. He is in the midwifery position! That baby is coming OUT!!!!

The very next day , as walked together, the Lord began to instruct me regarding life’s purpose.
“Today I want to speak to you about the purpose of life,” He said. “ Many believe that they must discover their purpose for living, that life is about purpose. But , in truth, life is purpose. Meaning is found in the fact of life itself. So many people try to find fulfillment in what they DO, instead of who they are and who I am.”
“ Adam was formed so that I could walk with him, not so that he could tend the Garden. I did not create Adam because I needed a gardener. Work is a result of life, not the purpose and meaning of life . Your forefathers were correct when they said, ‘ The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.’
“ I have made all mankind because I desire companionship. You were made to have communion with ME; that is your purpose and the purpose of every man and woman on earth. Enoch discovered that his life was satisfying as long as he enjoyed communion with Me. I want you to understand this same simple truth: your fulfillment flows out of communion with Me. All things find their true meaning for existence in Me. When you separate yourself from Me, the purpose for which I created you is denied.
When you fulfill your purpose by spending time with Me, everything that you need in order to accomplish your assignment in life is released. Fellowship with Me was Adam’s purpose; tending the Garden was his assignment. Out of communion with Me comes creativity. Creativity is My life force, giving release to new potential and new things. All that is needed for life , I have provided.
Your enemy, Satan, took his focus OFF ME and , as a result, glorified his own ability. He thought that his reason for existence was to make music. He failed to see that his true purpose was to serve ME. He was created for MY PLEASURE.
Do you understand son ? Today’s lesson is on BEING. I made you to be with ME, to enjoy Me, and to walk with Me. Everything flows out of intimacy with Me. Purpose, meaning, goals, even creativity- all these things are a result of your relationship with Me, and are enhanced by the time you spend with Me. My nature is ‘I AM’, not ‘ I DO’. Without Me, you can do nothing. You are a human being, not a human DOING. You must learn how to BE.
“ I have made you for MY pleasure. I am teaching you to appreciate life and how to be fully alive. Many people are dormant and asleep, much like trees in the winter, but My life is like springtime. I am bringing you into springtime.”
The words of the Lord faded into silence. Outside my study window, all the vibrant signs of spring heralded life and fulfillment. Creation itself seemed to trumpet God’s purpose. But even more significantly, something was transpiring within me. I was emerging from a spiritual winter. New life was coursing through my heart. Finally , the seasons were changing for me. I was beginning to understand God’s real purpose for my life. It wasn’t MINISTRY or WORK; it was INTIMACY with GOD ! I was made in His image, for His glory and pleasure.
Do you know why God created you ? He created you to have fellowship with Him. When you spend time with Him, you are both discovering and fulfilling your purpose.

Over the past few weeks after the Lord had me purchase a teddy bear dressed as Wonder Woman, He began to speak to me in more detail about this being the season where He is leading His daughters deeper into throne room encounters to behold His wonder and awe. I saw the Lord building a deep childlike intimacy and awe in women all across the body of Christ and major transformation, positioning and promotion was being released over them right now. The Lord showed me that He is doing a major work across the body of Christ in both men and women but there was a divine highlight upon women right now for the end time harvest. He is doing deep, quick works in His daughters and there is a sudden rising up and positioning of women happening all across the body of Christ as they are a key to this end time revival.
The Lord is raising up women from the place of living in wonder of Him in this season as WONDER WOMEN! Fearless warriors possessed by Him, His love and hope and moving out into the world in the name and authority of Jesus to push back the kingdom of darkness and release the justice and victory of God.
WONDER WOMAN WARRIORS
As I sat with the Lord on this I felt the Lord saying that some of the greatest breakthroughs that we have ever seen in seeing darkness overcome, breakthrough exploding and justice prevailing is going to be seen through the WONDER WOMEN WARRIORS rising up now to take back what the enemy has stolen.
They are also rising up to release a deliverance and healing anointing in the body of Christ and the world unlike what we have ever seen before. From the place of living in WONDER before Him, He is waking up the warriors within suddenly.
This transformatory move of His Spirit amongst women right now is going to leave many in awe and wonder of Jesus! The sudden placing, favour, positioning and promotion of His Wonder Women Warriors is going to release a spearhead breakthrough and shift into the body of Christ and then into the world that will usher in a demonstration of some of the most WONDEROUS signs and wonders we have ever seen but bursting forth from the message of INTIMACY being proclaimed loudly. The increase of the signs and wonders and glorious favour and demonstration of His power through these Warrior Wonder Women as they happened, I saw them turn and always point to Jesus!
In a purity, not false humility, they did not allow the glory to rest on them, but JESUS! With wide eyed wonder at every move of His Spirit and word from His heart they would proclaim "LOOK AT HIM" and an impartation of the wonder, awe and beauty of Jesus was released into the atmosphere and all around them.
THE WONDER WOMEN WARRIORS ARE CARRYING THE MESSAGE OF INTIMACY WITH JESUS
I saw as He was suddenly raising up these Wonder Women Warriors that they knew what it was to live deep in the place of intimacy. Their fearlessness, courage, strength and the wonder-filled demonstrations of His power came not from their own strength but a deep awareness of who He is. A deep reality of living deeply in His heart and a burning passion and fire for His name. A conviction in their heart bursting forth that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE in Him (Matthew 19:26) and that it is not in their might or power but by HIS SPIRIT. (Zechariah 4:6)
FEAR IS TURNING TO FIERCE FEARLESSNESS
In these throneroom encounters women are being radically healed, transformed and suddenly risen up and positioned. I saw DEEP ROOTS of fear and intimidation that have held them down for years and generations being dealt with by His power and love and a FIERCE FEARLESSNESS being birthed with them.
MAJOR healing, even OVERNIGHT healings will take place for many women in this season. What has held them down, contained them, drained them and hidden them,being broken and melted away by His love!
There has been a major attack on women in this season with fear and massive intimidation. Screaming at them to hide, but their greatest season to arise is upon them and perfect love is casting out the fear as they stand in wonder and revelation of their GOOD, GOOD Father!! Where the enemy has taken ground, after ground in many women's lives, Jesus is bringing a turning, a healing, an awakening causing a season shift to see these women catapulted up and out to TAKE BACK AND GAIN MORE ground than ever!
I also felt the Lord saying where many women have laid down their swords and shrunk back, He is suddenly healing and awakening them, to pick up their sword again and charge the enemy without fear and some of the loudest demonstrations of the victory, breakthrough and perfect justice of God was going to be seen.
WARRIOR WONDER WOMEN ARE ABOUT TO BE PLACED AND INCREASED ON THE WORLDS STAGE
The anointing that is being released over women right now is going to see them placed on the worlds stage.
When I asked the Lord about this, I felt the Him saying that it is time for women to arise and the WONDEROUS work He is doing amongst them will cause them to be seen by the world. The Esther moment, being positioned before Kings and Queens! Being called for!
WOMEN OF WISDOM RELEASING HEAVEN'S WONDER
I saw these Wonder Women crying out to the Lord for His pure strategy, and He was releasing wisdom from heaven to them. These were such strategic keys of wisdom for whatever sphere of influence they had (whatever role and stage of life they found themselves in) that as they put the wisdom, strategy and creativity of heaven into action, there were portals of encounter being released everywhere they were to encounter the GOD OF WONDERS!!! From homes, to businesses, to schools/universities, to government... On every scale, portals of encounter being opened up to encounter our beautiful Jesus, the God of wonder! The Lord is raising up these wonder women to restore HIS wonder in the world and the Church!
Not only are women rising up suddenly and going out, but some of the loudest and most powerful voices of JUSTICE, LOVE, WISDOM, HEALING and TRUTH will be released through them. Door upon door of favour will open in the world for these Wonder Women Warriors to go in and stare the enemy, injustice and evil in the face and not shrink back but stand in the authority of Jesus and proclaim His truth and release His love and see the darkness overcome!
These Wonder Women, women of INCREDIBLE STRENGTH, HIS STRENGTH are about to be put in the most incredible, unbelievable places.
I felt the Lord kept highlighting Margaret Thatcher (England's former Prime Minister) and that a similar strength was being awakened upon women to change, shift and impact nations. These Wonder Women would move out with a strength birthed in Him that would see these women unmovable and unshakeable and standing for truth and justice.
In this season He is moving them out now completely immersed in His love. A strength in Him unable to be shaken but also a deep softness and sensitivity to Him and His leading. Carrying such compassion and love. A deep relationship with Jesus that can see them sit at His feet as a child, and also sit with someone on a street who is homeless and weep with them and release love and compassion but also be one who can stand on the worlds stage in strength and unshakeable and be a voice to assist in shifting and shaping a nation.
Where many may be offended at the placing and promotion of these women, I felt the Lord saying "Watch this space for My Glory is about to invade!!". A glorious move of His Spirit and Glory will invade! Heaven will invade earth in a new and fresh way! There is a vindication being released from the heart of the Father over women in this season and they will again pick up many of their "laid down" influence, giftings, mantles and anointings.
In the place of wonder before Him, He is roaring, "WOMEN WHO LIVE IN WONDER BEFORE ME, ARISE AS MY WONDER WOMEN!!"

The Amorites responded with war, but with God's help, Israel defeated them.In this week’s Parasha, we see the overpowering strength of God’s blessing on Israel. When Balak, the king of Moab, sent a sorcerer named Balaam to curse Israel, he found that he could not do so.
Balaam Prophesies the Glory of Israel, by James TissotAlthough Balaam was commissioned to pronounce a curse over Israel, he found he could only issue a blessing, saying, “How shall I curse whom God has not cursed?” (Numbers 23:8)Many might come against the nation of Israel, but no one can curse those whom Adonai Himself has blessed!The Moabite King Balak, whose name means waste or to lay waste, wanted to lay waste the nation of Israel. To his dismay, he found that he was unable to do so because of God’s blessing upon her.Why did King Balak feel so threatened by Israel that he felt the need to have her cursed? It is because Balak, along with his elders, had heard of the Israelites stunning victories over the mighty enemies of Sihon and Og.Therefore, deciding that it would be too risky to fight Israel directly, they hired a “spiritual mercenary,” Balaam, who was a heathen sorcerer, to put a “hex” on their enemies. Although we may consider this an ancient superstition, many practice such magic even today.For instance, in the United States there exists a form of Louisiana Voodoo (also known as New Orleans Voodoo). It is rooted in West African Dahomeyan Vodun, which came to the American south through the slave trade.The Bible strictly forbids the people of God to practice such sorcery; neither are we to seek guidance from astrologers, sorcerers, psychics or those who consult with the dead:“When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.“For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you.” (Deuteronomy 18:9–13)
Handwritten Torah scrollSadly, the rise in the popularity and acceptance of books and films such as the Harry Potter series has led some Christians to break this serious commandment at their own peril.As the world becomes darker and more terrifying, many people seek guidance and comfort from such sorcerers and others skilled in the occult arts; but as God’s people we are to “come out from among them and be separate.” (2 Corinthians 6:17)The adversary of humankind seeks to deceive and enslave people through a variety of methods—false doctrines mixed with true doctrines, false religions, fleshly temptations—through spiritists, books, TV, and more.But those who follow Yeshua (Jesus) actually have an advantage that is superior to any of those methods. Believers have the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) to lead and guide them into all truth; therefore, they do not need to stumble around in the kingdom of darkness looking for direction from those who serve the evil one.God promises that if we seek Him with all of our heart, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13), and that those who are His sheep will hear His voice (John 10:27).He has not left us to our devices wondering which way we should go.
People walk down a narrow street in the Old City of Jerusalem.The Power of the TongueEven though most people in today’s modern, Western culture do not purposefully engage in placing curses on others, people frequently unknowingly affect others in a negative sense with their words.The Bible tells us that the power of life or death is in our tongue(Proverbs 18:21); therefore, we need to be deliberate when we speak about or over other people, ensuring that our words are constructive and lifegiving.Not everyone has been so privileged to have blessings spoken over their life, especially as a child. All too often parents, teachers, and other children are unkind or speak appallingly ungodly words over another.Name-calling, criticism, and belittling comments are common occurrences in our human experience.Oftentimes these negative words can pierce the heart and soul of a child or adult. Such false labels as the following are taken to heart and believed to be true: loser, stupid, clumsy, lazy, hopeless, ugly, bad, worthless, inept, idiot, jerk, brat, or unlovable.What is the answer to this very real problem? How can we escape the multitude of word curses spoken over us? The answer is found in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah)!Not only do we find unconditional love and acceptance with Yeshua; but also the blood of the Messiah has the power to break every curse that has ever been spoken over us—whether intentionally or out of ignorance.Yeshua became a curse for us so that we could be redeemed and set free from every curse: “Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: 'Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.'" Although he called himself a prophet of God, he was motivated more by earning a profit than the gift of prophecy than edifying, warning, teaching, and blessing others with it.In Judaism, some consider his name to mean without a nation or people (bli – am), suggesting that by going to curse Israel he became excluded or cut off from a place in the World to Come (Olam haBah).The reality that Balak and Balaam ignored is that God has promised to bless those who bless the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; and to curse those who curse us. (Genesis 12:3)How many people or nations are cutting themselves off from blessing and a place in Heaven by attempting to curse the Jews?Although Balaam possessed legendary powers, they were tiny compared to God’s power.Three times Balaam tried to curse Israel and three times he involuntarily blessed them instead.

Old City of Jerusalem.Over the centuries, many peoples and nations have tried to destroy Israel, like Balak, but none have succeeded in wiping Israel off the map as they have desired.Hamas and other Islamist terrorist groups have written into their charters the goal of annihilating Israel and driving her people into the sea. This desire to annihilate the Jewish People has been shared by Nazi Germany, the Spanish Empire, Byzantine Empire, Assyrian Empire, Philistines, ancient Persia (see Book of Esther), and more.Why has Israel survived against all odds even till today?It is because of God’s covenantal promise to the seed or offspring of Israel:“Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, who disturbs the sea, and its waves roar (The LORD of Hosts is His name): ‘If those ordinances depart from before Me,’ says the LORD, ‘then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.’” (Jeremiah 31:35–36)God has blessed the Jewish People, and they are as secure as the stars in the sky.

Even though God has made the survival and ultimate salvation of Israel secure, Psalm 83 prophesies that in the Last Days, a confederacy will be formed before our very eyes that intends to wipe out the name of Israel forever:“They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’” (Psalm 83:3–4)In a move last year that may prove extremely dangerous for the United States, a Supreme Court ruling declared that any American citizen born in Jerusalem may not declare “Israel” as the country of birth on their passport. The court can try to wipe the name of Israel off American documents, but they will not succeed in causing the name of Israel to be remembered no more.There is only one way that Israel may be defeated; that is, through her own sin — by turning away from God. This is what happened to the people of Israel in this Parasha. Although Balak and Balaam failed in bringing a curse upon Israel, they brought destruction upon themselves by committing sexual immorality with the Moabite women and worshiping their god, Baal-Peor.“So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the LORD was aroused against Israel.” (Numbers 25:3)Seeing His Chosen People worship pagan gods enraged God and resulted in a plague that killed 24,000 Israelites. Scripture reveals that it was Balaam, who counseled the Midianites to ruin Israel through association with their women. (Numbers 31:7–16)The Rabbis, therefore, also discern another meaning of the name of Balaam as bilu-am—one who confused the nation.

After being ridiculed by his own donkey, who miraculously tried to save him by telling him about the end that lay before him, Balaam finally died in a battle with the Israelites. (Numbers 31:8)So ended the life of one who was motivated by greed and selfish ambition rather than by God’s righteousness.The Book of Jude underscores the error of false prophets like Balaam: “Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.” (Jude 1:11)What was this grave error of Balaam that was serious enough to be included alongside Cain, who murdered his brother (Genesis 4), and Korah, who led a rebellion against Moses that resulted in the deaths of many Israelites (Numbers 16)?The Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers) contrasts Balaam’s sins with Abraham's righteousness:"Whoever possesses the following three traits is of the disciples of our father Abraham; and whoever possesses the opposite three traits is of the disciples of the wicked Balaam. The disciples of our father Abraham have a good eye, a meek spirit and a humble soul. The disciples of the wicked Balaam have an evil eye [greed/envy], a haughty spirit and a gross soul.... The disciples of our father Abraham benefit in this world and inherit the World To Come, and as is stated,"'To bequeath to those who love Me there is, and their treasures I shall fill'" (Proverbs 8:21). The disciples of the wicked Balaam inherit purgatory and descent into the pit of destruction, as is stated, 'And You, G-d, shall cast them into the pit of destruction; bloody and deceitful men, they shall not attain half their days. And I shall trust in you' (Psalm 55:23)." (Chabad)

But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—a beast without speech—who spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness.“These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error.” (2 Peter 2:15–18)

And how are they relevant today?Balaam, even after failing to curse Israel directly, continued to associate and co-operate with those who sought Israel’s destruction.There are some within the Christian Church who not only associate with, but also financially support people, charities, and causes with an anti-Israel and even anti-Semitic agenda.From the example of Balak and Balaam, we can see that being drawn into despising Israel is a dangerous path—and “talking donkeys appear to be in short supply these days!” (Wild Olive)May God’s people disassociate from those who curse Israel and teach anti-Semitic lies. May the followers of Yeshua, both Jews and Gentiles, choose to stand with Israel to the very end and continue in holiness.Let us bless Israel and pray that God will save her from all those enemies who try to curse her. Let us also pray that the Jewish People will seek after God with all of their hearts and will walk in righteousness before Him. It is then they will find Him.Many have falsely said that God is finished with His Chosen People; however, Bible prophecy clearly states that this will never be so. For I say to you, today is a day of change, of miracles, and of much else. My wind is blowing; can’t you hear it in the trees? Can’t you see it as it blows away the chaff of life? Can’t you feel it as it blows off the dust that has settled upon you? My deliverance is coming. I say it is on the way for many who have sought Me, and for many who haven’t. Change is coming, even now!
It is time, for many to come forth out of the shadows, out of the ditches, and hidden places that I have placed you and where some of you have placed yourself. Some of you have fled from the enemy, without listening to My voice, you have been so afraid of what would happen next. Others of you are eagerly anticipating what is coming. You can’t wait for My next instruction. I’m excited too!
Even now many nations are in upheaval over what is coming next. Many say they know, but I say to you, I am the only One who knows. Many are still sleeping and many are still complacent, believing if they ignore it long enough it will all go away and everything will calm down. I say to you, this is only the beginning of the upheaval.
In the U.S. people are afraid for the elections, of who will win and what will happen next. I say to you, I will have My way. Upheaval brings change and many of you are so stuck in the deep mud of life as it is, or many are even in the life as it was stage, that you can’t see your way clear to coming out of the mud. You say that if your person doesn’t win to compete, that you won’t vote or you will vote for the other side. Why don’t you try voting for My side for a change? Quit worrying about you, and be concerned about what is on My heart. What I have planned for this nation, is greater than any plan you could have for it. I’m calling on obedience to MY HEART, not yours. If you want change brought forth, then it must be through Me. If you are not sure, pray that My Will is Done, My Kingdom Come, On earth, as it is in Heaven. I am the only One who can amake a way, where there seems to be no way. I am the only One in the miracle business. I am the only One who can do the bimpossible. No man can.
In other nations it is all about terrorists and immigrants. There too, My Heart needs to be prayed. Again, I am the only One who can make a way, where there seems to be no way. I am the only One in the miracle business. I am the only One who can do the impossible. No man can.
So regardless of where you live, pray for those who are in the government, or wanting to be in the government, even if they are evil. Didn’t I tell you to prayc for your enemies? Even as you pray blessing upon them, so shall blessings fall upon you. But if you curse those in your government or pray evil upon them, then so shall it fall upon you.
Know that I know, your every thought, your every move or act, every word that comes out of your mouth, I know it before it is spoken. Have you forgotten I am domniscient or that I am all knowing? I don’t waste time wondering about what you are going to do, I know it before you do it. I am also eomnipresent, so that I see everything, everywhere all at once. You can’t hide from Me. Time is growing short, don’t waste it on worrying! Spend time with Me, so that I can reveal My heart to you.
If there has ever been a time to pray for all nations it is now. Do not just sit there, fpray without ceasing. Your very life could depend upon it in the days ahead. Will you heed My call to prayer?
